So Audrey ~ A Life of Style and Purpose~

When I was around 11 or 12 years old I saw "Roman Holiday" for the first time. It was love at first sight and still my favorite film. She was sophisticated, charming,  beautiful and graceful -this little pixie fairy that I wanted to be like. So neat looking, so different. I soon would see "Breakfast at Tiffany's" from Truman Capote's novella. (which I didn't get at the time, that the character Holly Golightly was a call girl, ($50.00 dollars to go to the powder room ha! ha! wink wink! - because I was well only 13 or so). I just thought she was this amazing city/party girl with a cool lifestyle in carefree New York City. Her blonde streaks, funny sayings and chic clothes. I so wanted to be her. And the most beautiful song I think by Henry Mancini, "Moon River"( which is still to this day one of my favorite songs). I've seen by now and also own all her movies and yes I admit to having a movie marathon from time to time. I never get tired of watching them. Her freshness and style still make her films modern and special. She just puts me in a great mood! I love how she lived her life and did such amazing work with her career and by helping others through her charity work. I could go on and on ... She was pure sweetness and simply Perfection. She is someone I look up to for fashion idea's, style and of course her essence . It's no wonder why she has so many fans! Here's to you Audrey!!  Lovely Lady-

Shades Of Pink- Feminine And Flirty

From the soft shades of  pink - bright, hot pink, dusty mauves, corals, peach and bright berry. They always remain fresh and sassy. What a beautiful, happy shade!

The 1960's, "Fashion It Girls"~

The sixties were a fashion breakthrough, Let's just say "MINI" skirt - cool bright colors and bold prints, amazing hats and shoes. Fun hair-do's and makeup trends (fake eye lashes and frosted pink lips). Top designers like Pucci, Cardin, Givenchy, of course the start of the famous Vidal Sassoon and his "Bob" haircuts. The trendiest waif-like fashion models or "IT GIRLS' like Twiggy, Jean Shrimpton, Mary Quant. And the many famous movie star Icons, like Julie Christie, Jane Birkin, Audrey Hepburn and sex kitten Brigitte Bardot. There were countless style icons and artists from the 1960's.One of the most important and known as the most stylish women ever, our first lady Jackie Kennedy. The sixties were the decade of the young and stylish, those wanting to explore all things in music, art, fashion and politics. They were Revolutionary! From the Mods to the Hippie's and everyone in between. I think it was the most fashionable and chic decade ever. The 1960's, personification of everything cool and yes a little bit wacky. But fun and so charming and sophisticated..The Era of brilliant creations.

It's In The Eyes~

The Color Wheel ~

What Color Of  Eye Makeup Is Right For My Eye Color?
How To Play Up Your Loveliness~

Brown Eyes- Play with deep colors of navy and sapphire. Smudge into lash line. When using blue eyeliner, follow with a neutral lid color like soft shimmering browns. Brown- eyed girls also can have fun with green shades.

Blue Eyes-Shades of brown's like chocolate brown, copper/bronze, taupe. It makes the blue stand out and dazzle. Blue eye shadows compete with your natural color. So for goodness sake Skip it!

Green Eyes- Eyeliners or  eye shadows in a eggplant, purple, amethyst work amazing. The contrast is so beautiful. And really brings out the green.

Hazel Eyes- Are also beautiful with green shades.Try a forest green eyeliner or eye shadow over the lid or lash line. Also a gold eye shadow applied across the lid deepens the shade of brown tones bringing out the greens so stunning...
