So Mysterious ~

Since I was little, I loved reading mystery novels. Agatha Christie was one of my all time favorite writers. I just loved how her stories were always intelligent, dark and perceptive . I had such fun and felt so clever when trying to solve her murders. Her most popular and endearing characters were of course the sweet, adorable, small town sleuth who always seemed to be where all the evil, shady happenings were,  "Miss Jane Marple".  To the elegant and stylish Belgian detective,  who always saved the day by his calculations and clues and yes, all his little gray cells, "Hercule Poirot".

Vintage Photography - Both of these photographer's worked as photo-journalist's. Nina Leen was one of the first female photographer's to work for Life magazine. She is  best known for her timeless and stunning fashion photography as well as her photography of animals.

A quote from Nina Leen - " I have a feeling that in art the need to understand and the need to communicate are one".

Eve Arnold, is a noted  American photographer known for her famous portraits and pictures of V.I.P. clients such as Queen Elizabeth, Malcom X, Joan Crawford and Marilyn Monroe, who for many years trusted Eve more then any other photographer to take her pictures.
She also did a series of portraits of American Presidents wives and extensive photography in China, Russia, South Africa and Afghanistan.

Both of these women gave us brillant and interesting images to look at and enjoy through their eyes and talent, they were able to express what was going on at the time by capturing many amazing stories through their "personal" lens.

Bring On That Color ~

I just love color. Bold, rich colors always inspire me. From designing and painting a room, to making a cake or cooking a meal, to planning and putting an outfit together. Now that it is summertime, I love to incorporate and grab idea's from the things around me, like the colors of the sea to the bright blossoms growing around the yard. Colors, textures, pops of color and the seasons. It's never ending. I thought it would be fun, to make a collage of some of the colors I'm currently in love with right now. Bright zinnia pinks, terra cotta orange, sea glass blue - green and rich tomato red's. Beautiful!! So bright and cheerful.

MovieTime~ Collages Of Some Of My Favorite Films ~

These are three movies I just love. I love the stories, styles and fashion of the characters. All of the ladies in these films try to reinvent themselves, have a passion for something and a new zest for life, which I can appreciate. I like to learn new things and venture out of my comfort zone. Since collages are my new thing (digital) and I'm learning all different kinds of programs, I hope you can see my vision in each story collage. Notice all are food related here for this post, what can I say, I'm a foodie! Food, Life, Fashion and Film always inspire me. Enjoy ~
